Caroline Zeeman

Caro has been teaching music for the last 20 years mostly at schools, privately from home and she loves running music workshops for adults in the community. Caro is passionate about having an inclusive approach to music making. This proved to be very successful in her first community ukulele group:  ‘The Ukes of Howick’. Now that she has moved to Franklin, she has started up Ukulele classes for adults in Pukekohe. Caroline uses the “Orff Schulwerk” method of teaching both at home and at school.

“Imagination, Improvisation, Creativity and Fun” are Caro’s four key words.Growing up in The Netherlands, she started with the recorder when she was 11 years old, moved on to flute a few years later and she taught herself to play the guitar.
Caro has been writing music since the age of 14 and took a little break when she moved to New Zealand a very long time ago with her husband and worked in the tourism industry.
At home with a young family though, made her pick up her instruments again and she has never looked back.  She has been an active member of ‘ONZA’ –Orff New Zealand Aotearoa since 2005.
